Ballavpur Wildlife Sanctuary (Deer Park)

It is located near Sriniketan, 3 km from Santiniketan. Ballabhpur Wildlife Sanctuary (popular as Deer Park) was established in 1977. Originally, the area was a fast-eroding `Khowai’. It is now a large wooded area with herds of deer and makes a natural bird sanctuary. It is known to all people of the Bolpur subdivision of Birbhum district due to its all about lush green fields and red soil. The natural greenery forest and its evergreen beauty attract peoples. Timings to visit the place is open from 10 am to 4 pm. It is closed on Wednesdays
